Translation of Conference Material. A Job Well Done

Background

RÉSEAU Environnement is the founder and organizer of AMERICANA, an international environmental technology trade show and conference. The event serves as a forum for the exchange of knowledge and know-how on economic and environmental solutions. Bilingual literature is made available to attendees in the form of presentations and brochures.

The Problem

In 2005, Cogitco was mandated to provide technical translation services for all print documentation for AMERICANA 2005. The project was complex in that it required revision of numerous texts written in either English or French, then subsequent translation into the other language.

The Solution

To deal with the challenges associated with translating technical information for the life sciences industry, Cogitco carried out considerable research, due to the comprehensive nature of the field and its varied terminology. In addition, Cogitco was prepared to receive a number of texts that were to be delivered in stages, as each "block" was ready.

The Result

The project was successfully completed as planned and RÉSEAU Environnement was pleased with the results. In addition, a Cogitco staff member was requested to provide interpretation services at the conference.
