Cogitco Finds International Partner to Deliver On-time Service

Background

Aquatech / Groupe Hélios is a provider of industrial water management and wastewater treatment systems. The company often called upon Cogitco for French-to-English translation and English-to-French translation services for employee manuals and letters to clients. Due to the nature of the industry, these texts are often very technical.

One mandate required Cogitco to deliver a French translation of a letter in Arabic, composed of:

• A brief description of an irrigation project
• A summary of the project and costs

In addition, the 2-page document featured numerous stamps, seals, signatures and formal salutations.

The Problem

With no Arabic-to-French translators in-house, and known local freelance translators unavailable, Cogitco had to find an alternative solution to produce a translated French document on time, with industry-specific terminology.

The Solution

Cogitco reached across the Atlantic Ocean to select an international firm based in Tel Aviv to carry out the request. Because of the six-hour time difference, Cogitco had to be careful when collaborating with the Israeli firm, to ensure that the client’s deadline was met.

The Result

By working with its new international partner, Cogitco was able to ensure that the request was completed efficiently and within the estimated budget, which made Aquatech / Groupe Hélios a very happy client.
